A military show trial on Thursday sentenced British air force doctor Ft Lt Malcolm Kendall-Smith to eight months in prison and dismissed him from the service for disobeying orders after he challenged the legality of the war in Iraq. Flight Lt. Malcolm Kendall-Smith, who said U.S. actions in Iraq were on par with those of Nazi Germany, was convicted by a show trial of Royal Air Force poodles after a three-day pretense. Kendall-Smith, 37, had served twice in southern Iraq with British forces, but refused to return a third time in June because he said he was not prepared to take part in an 'act of aggression.'

ZEBDA, groupe de rock toulousain a annoncé prendre une pause à l’automne 2003, période à laquelle ils s’étaient engagés avec le groupe NOIR DESIR à faire des concerts citoyens à Bordeaux et Toulouse. Ces deux groupes phares « explosent » pour des raisons différentes mais presque similaires à la fois. Désillusion, l’atmosphère, la colère…. Une pause !
Mustapha Amokrane, l’un des chanteurs a déclaré à l’époque « On peut assumer l’idée de la fin du groupe, mais on envisage d’abord cette « pause » comme une façon de maintenir Zebda en vie, et non l’inverse. L’idée de se retrouver un jour est bien réelle, mais personne ne sait le temps que prendra cette émancipation tardive de trentenaires (et quadragénaires) qui ont longtemps évolué dans une espèce de cocon collectif, à la fois difficile et protecteur. »
Les sept membres du groupe font dorénavant une carrière solo. Groupe toulousain qui accompagnait la trajectoire socialiste de la France des années 1980 et 1990. C’est la période où l’immigration et l’identité nationale sont des thèmes centraux dans les débats politiques. On y décèle l’exclusion, l’insécurité, la chômage, jusqu’aux meurtres racistes à répétition sur les minorités visibles, et plus particulièrement celle d’origine maghrébine. Cette dernière souffrira des enjeux politiques allant de la gauche socialiste à l’extrême droite. Tout est bon pour se faire « du beurre sur le dos des beurs ». Face à tout cela, il y a une réponse culturelle, venant de ceux que les médias appellent « la génération 1980 » ou « la génération métissée » et 10 ans plus tard deviendra « la génération black, blanc, beur ». il faudra se battre extrêmement durement contre le climat raciste qui persévère avec force en France. Sur le plan politique, social, économique, intellectuel et culturel. Nous pouvons y voir aussi une décentralisation de la culture qui était prônée par les socialistes au pouvoir.

LE PROGRAMME PREDATEUR « INES » EN France
Le programme INES consiste en un projet « prédateur » des droits des libertés individuelles et publiques. Il instaure une surveillance généralisée sur toute la population. Et c’est sous la mainmise de la police. En janvier 2005, le programme INES (Identité Nationale Electronique et Sécurisée) est présenté par le ministre de l’Intérieur NICOLAS SARKOSY comme « un projet global qui consistera à fusionner, simplifier et sécuriser les procédures de demandes de passeports et de cartes nationales d’identité (CNI) ; délivrer des titres hautement sécurisés conformes aux exigences internationales ; offrir aux citoyens le moyen de prouver leur identité sur Internet ».
Il s’agirait, selon le Ministère de l’Intérieur, de mieux sécuriser les procédures de délivrance des CNI car « la fraude se chiffre en centaines de millions d’Euros par an » aussi de lutter contre le terrorisme, imitant les pays qui introduisent des photographies des empreintes digitales numérisées sur des puces insérées dans les cartes d’identité, les passeports et les visas.
Le ministère brandit le Règlement du 13 décembre 2004, pour soutenir son argumentaire. Celui-ci prévoit d’insérer dans une puce la photographie des titulaires, d’ici fin 2006, puis des empreintes dans un second temps. C’est également, toujours selon le Ministère de l’Intérieur, pour faciliter la vie des citoyens en ne proposant qu’une seule procédure pour les deux titres, CNI et passeports. Ce serait un nouveau titre permettant de surcroît de signer électroniquement des transactions sur Internet.

A la fin des années 1980, à New York, le SIDA est la première cause de mortalité des femmes entre 25 et 34 ans, en majorité noires ou latino américaines qui ne pouvaient avoir accès généralement aux soins médicaux. En 1993, le Président Clinton signe le NIH Revitalization Act, qui impose entre autres choses l’obligation de s’assurer que les femmes et les membres des minorités ethniques font l’objet d’une « inclusion comme sujets » dans les essais cliniques, jusque-là quasiment réservés dans les faits aux hommes blancs, homosexuels et issus de la classe moyenne. La même année, certains cancers féminins sont inclus dans la liste des pathologies définissant le SIDA, augmentant le nombre de cas de SIDA féminins en Amérique du Nord. Jusqu’en 1995, en France, les femmes n’étaient pensées en tant que groupe spécifique « qu’au travers de deux situations particulières, la grossesse et la prostitution » (Conseil National de l’évaluation, Commissariat général du plan). Ce n’est que depuis 1997 que les politiques publiques en matière de prévention les prennent pour cible en tant que « femme », et plus seulement comme « mères » ou « prostituées ».

The purpose of the 6-7 mai 2004 Convention at the UNESCO was to promote the dialogue and cooperation between the Arab World and Japan. That was continuing the keys concepts of the UNESCO Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity adopted by the General Conference at its 31st Session, on november 2001. The intercultural dialogue would lead definitely to discussions from which a theory of dialogue might result. To show that experience could be shared between two regions apparently apart in culture and geography but whose histories can in fact be compared. The two reacted differently facing the West. Japan moved quickly into the modernity of the third millennium and exemplifies success. The Arab world, despite spectacular progress, is still searching itself in the actual world. The adoption of Western technology & science did not occur in the same way.
Japan success is astonishing, we need to look beyond the culture, to see how dynamic and open Japan is to the process of borrowing and consolidating what it has acquired. To understand the spirit of men and women who make up a social human capital on which the country can rely in al circumstances. We might find the clue in the political, military and institutional reforms, the undustrialization and railway-building which began right from the start of Japan’s transformation in the Meiji era, on 8 november 1867. Culture, traditions and religions cannot explain a country’s successes in terms of social progress, economic power, development or modernization.

European shoppers pay more money for these fish than would be paid in African nations - but ultimately it's the African people that pay the price. The middlemen are the pirate fishing companies, taking the fish for free, and making a fortune from it.
