Remeber "Men at Work"? Well one of the founders, 'Jerry Speiser' (Drummer) has lent his talents to help out Australia's pop rockers, "FROST".
The East Timorese fronted band has now just released their latest EP, "The Usual Suspects"!!

Frost has enough energy to power up a nuclear reactor in a power plant and sustain the process of splitting atoms, which normally requires the involvement of many scientists and technicians. It's a fuel that burns full-throttle, ignited by their individual obsession of music and inventiveness.
Frost formed in 1997. The bands line up consists of –

“Underpinning Frost's music is an air of melancholic celebration - times are hard and sometimes desperate - but persistence will overcome challenges, and life goes on”. Danny Jumpertz – SBS Whatever Music Producer
The band’s humble nature may be the reason why many have not yet heard of ‘Frost’. However in a classroom, you would call ‘Frost’, the quiet achievers. Frost was chosen from hundreds of hopefuls to appear on the MGM best seller CD, ‘Independence – Volume One’ in 2003. This compilation CD celebrated Australia’s finest independent recording artists: Skulker, Epicure, Bluebottle Kiss, and Rhubarb & Genevieve Maynard among others.
A recording contract was offered to Frost as part of Film Victoria and the Special Broadcasting Service, ‘SBS Whatever Music project’. This led to Melbourne’s highest rating commercial radio station,’ Nova 100’ picking up the Frost track, “You and Me” and giving it hi-rotation. An animated (Cartoon) music clip was also created to the song and aired on SBS, channel 31, Channel 10 and channel 7. To acknowledge the works Universal Music Australia and SBS joined forces to release the,”The SBS Whatever Sessions”, a 2 disc compilation. Frost also received media coverage through the Melbourne metropolitan MX newspaper and many community newspapers & radio stations.
When the U.S. companies, Gold Record Music, Music Rebellion & Spring Bound Music called out to independent artists throughout the world, to submit demos to be considered for the US compilation, ‘Cheap ‘N’ Easy’ – Unleashed -hundreds submitted their music and once again ‘Frost’ was invited to appear on the CD with their track, ‘Mr. Plat’. Many college radio stations across the U.S. received the CD. This led to Frost making the play lists of some U.S. college stations.
Frost's music is contemporary music at its best. Crossing boundaries and the generation gap, Frost can be appreciated by anyone with an ear for exuberant playing in the classic popular mould, cheeky lyrics and a heart.
