German police raid activists' house for using 'Yomango' on website

From 5th to 13th August, over 100 activists gathered for a week of discussions, socialising and action at Prekär Camp 2005, an action camp raising issues of precarity, and its impact on daily life and social movements, near Lüchow, north east of Hamburg, Germany.
On Wednesday 10th August, activists evicted the executive of the social benefits office in Lüchow", who is according to activists "well known for his strict and inhuman interpretation of the new German labour and social security benefit laws". The following day, police raided and searched a house for an alleged call for criminal offences on the precarity camp's website. It has now become clear this was in relation to the use of the word 'Yomango' on the website.
The offices of 'Anti-Atom-Aktuell', a monthly grassroots magazine on anti-nuclear issues, were also affected by the raid. They have given out a statement, explaining they are unable to work as equipment and papers have been seized. Some people say the police intentionally raided the offices of the magazine in an attempt to repress media activists. Furthermore, Anti-Atom-Aktuell being a prominant source of information within the anti-nuclear movement, the repression against the "anti-atom-aktuell", located in the region of the Castor-Protests, is considered by some as an attack on the movement in general. Early July, german police also raided the offices of LabourNet; a German website adressing issues of (un)employment and precarity.

A court order states that: "on the website the term 'Yomango' (a spanish slang term for 'I'm stealing') is used and in a preliminary programm for the camp presented on this website a 'Yomango-action' was mentioned." About 30 policemen, searched and filmed the entire house for several hours.
Yomango, like the popular Spanish clothing chain Mango is now a brandname which is not so much about selling concrete stuff, but more about 'promoting a lifestyle'. Yomango, meaning 'I'm stealing' in spanish, has triggered a wave of actions as part of a new anti-consumerist lifestyle. More info on the Yomango website.
Some refer to many recent attempts to repress media activists in doing there work. Both Indymedia UK and Indymedia Bristol had their servers seized in the last couple of years. Italy-based non-profit community webserver 'Autistici' was also attacked. They found out that the authorities had copied the keys necessary for the decryption of their webmail (statements: [1] [2]) and potentially had access to all the data on the disks.

In das Haus von jemandem einzudringen und seinen Computer zu "beschlagnahmen" wird stehlen genannt.
Yomango stiehlt nicht. Yomango macht einen sich immer weiter verbreitenderen sozialen Zustand sichtbar, über den traurigerweise immer noch stillschweigend hinwegegangen wird: die Prekarität.
Menschen klauen weil sie nicht bis zum Monatsersten kommen, weil ihnen Wünsche (zu wünschen) geboten sind, die sie sich niemals kaufen könnten und weil sie nicht mit ihrer mühseligen Arbeit ihr gesamtes Leben bezahlen wollen (...und umgekehrt).
Yomango ist weder eine Gruppe, noch ist es eine Organisation.
Yomango ist eine Marke, die Marke der Leute Yomango.
Yomango und diese Menschen sind keine Aktivisten (obwohl es auch jene unter ihnen gibt).
Sondern es sind...
Leute, wie : Hausfrauen die nicht vor der Fernsehwerbung kapitulieren, Pensionäre die eine "kleine Hilfe" gebrauchen können, Jugendliche die die Nase voll von "Pay to Play" haben, Studenten die nicht zahlen für was sie lesen, junge Mädchen die sich mit der Verinnerlichung kommerzieller Ideale nicht anfreunden können.
Dies, und nichts sonst, sind die Menschen von Yomango.
Yomango ist auch ein Multinational, eine Art Franchise-Unternehmen, welches jeder der will, dort wo er will eröffnet, zum Beispiel bei dem Treffen über Prekarität, "Prekär Camp", in Lüchow.
Eine Yomango- Franchise zu eröffnen bedeutet nicht ein "Aufruf zu Straftaten", wie es einige Quellen verlauten liessen.
Eine Yomango-Franchise besteht lediglich in einem Zusammentreffen von Menschen die sich entschieden haben etwas gegen die Prekarität zu unternehmen, was auch immer nötig sei, um diesen Zustand zu ändern.
Der Jugendliche, welcher am vergangen 11. August miterleben durfte wie die Polizei ohne Erlaubniss in sein Haus eindrang und seinen Computer mitnahm,
ist auch Yomango.
Jedoch nicht weil er im Supermarkt klauen würde (auch wenn niemand weiss was jemand macht wenn man ihn nicht sieht), sondern weil er verstanden hat, dass die Prekarität sein gesamtes Leben durchdringt und dass etwas dagegen getan werden muss.
Vielleicht konnte man ihn deswegen zusammen mit vielen Anderen auf dem Prekaer-Camp anfinden.
Von Barcelona aus verurteilen wir, ein Gruppe von Leuten die sich auch als "Yomango" ansehen, sowohl den Hausfriedensbruch als auch die "Kriminalisierung" einer sozialen Bewegung, die einzig und allein zusammenkommt um, mit allen gemeinsam, einen Ausweg aus diesem dunklen Tunnel zu finden.
Ein Lichtzeichen zu finden welches uns zeigt, dass das Leben fürwahr keine Ware ist, dass die Wünsche nicht vom Gewinn abhängig sind, dass Glücklichsein uns nicht so teuer zu stehen kommen muss.
Für den Moment Yomango, bis sich das alles erledigt...
