Indymedia Newsreal Needs Your VideosIndymedia Newsreal 08 Sep 2007 02:07 GMTThe Indymedia Newsreal is a monthly TV program that has been underway since 2000 and now needs your assistance. Each episode of the show covers actions taken in local communities, by ordinary people, to address critical issues locally and globally. This coverage is undertaken by independent videographers from around the U.S. and the world, who produce and send in segments. An editor then puts together contributed segments every month to create a thirty-minute program. Despite this incredible variety of content, participation in and awareness of the project has been steadily declining over the last couple of years. For the project to continue, the Newsreal must get more participation, and invites you to contribute your short video segments of local struggles in your community. The video segments must be in english or have english subtitles. We also encourage you to spread the word to any videoactivists you know about this opportunity to get video work out to a larger audience. Additionally, groups and individuals are invited to subscribe to Newsreal and show the program in their areas. |
