On March 21st 6 German anti-nato activists were forcefully deported into Bulgaria after attempting to enter Romania.

Law breaking as a European standard; Romania shows its democratic side with more repression.

Since the Romanian N.AT.O. Summit was confirmed; people who do not agree started their own campaign against N.A.T.O. While the summit preparations were in progress the corporate main-stream media started its own campaign of misinformation and public opinion manipulation against the critical point of the anti-militaristic movement. Using only violent protest images and presenting wrong facts, they turned anti-nato activism into a war-hungry, militant alliance (much like N.A.T.O. itself) monster that is going to attack Bucharest. All this misinformation created a reason for the authority’s repression. Any future repression was shown as a measure of security, typical N.A.T.O. strategy (creating an enemy to have an excuse for a war).

On March 20th - 21st 6 persons felt the repression of the border police for 19 hours, when they tried to enter in Romania. All of then were german citizens, and were coming to express their opinion and disagreement with N.A.T.O. politics. They brought few anti- N.A.T.O. materials (that contained only public information like a visitors' guide, a legal guide…), cd's with documentary movies, buttons, patches, t-shirts, posters all on the subject of human rights.

After being held 19 hours without a reason they were illegally and forcefully deported against their own will. During these 19 hours at the Calafat border-control they resisted in a creative way, making and showing banners against border and state repression.

Romania calls itself a democratic country but cannot accept other opinions, then those dictated by the ruling power.

Warning for all the people that want to cross into Romania

After the experience of yesterday, all the people that want to cross the border now should keep in mind that the border police (Romanian authorities) will look for the smallest and most ridiculous reason not to let them cross the border into Romania. Since weeks ago the media is creating a false image of anarchists that will come to Romania and start violent riots, just to give an excuse for the police repression.

So for your security we advise you not to take with you: drugs, weapons (that could also mean pepper sprays although they are legal in Romania but they can also can be bought in Romania, cheap-3 euro), info material (we don't know exactly what kind of materials they are looking for, but for sure anti-nato, anti-globalization), or any kind of objects that you think could be a potential reason of trouble.

Think about where you want to cross the border.

Keep in mind that your protest against-nato starts already at the border.
