Systemwandel statt Klimawandel: 100.000 demonstrieren in Kopenhagen - Massenverhaftungenlola 30 Dec 2009 14:06 GMT (translated by lola)In Kopenhagen finden die weltweiten UN Klimaverhandlungen (COP15) statt. Never Mind Climate Gate
Come on' Man 15.Dec.2009 20:39
Never mind the billionaire interests that are at stake with the new Carbon Credit Cap and Trade Bubble. Never mind the carbon taxes that will be collected selectively, while Exxon and BP enjoy special dispensation. Never mind the fact that the most prominent scientists in the field of global warming research have been caught red handed trying to deep six primary data and make a decline in temperature look like a rise. Never mind the plain fact that the left is just as co-opted as the right to serve the interests of oligarchs, that the Wall Street Foundations fund the NGO's run by their misdirected minions.
Come on' people. Just read the actual climate gate emails. We've been lied to!

Trouble is when one society trys to overthrow the old empires. 17.Dec.2009 00:05
Arresting 1,200 people is par for the course of Nato countries as they train their cops and military to opress the masses if they chalenge the ruling class or status quo of the established Imperial empires. The new society needs to be born and to thrive, the old wants to hold on to its polluted wealth. This story is as old as Imperial empire and has organized the state not for liberation but for conquest, pollution and aggressive wars. The big difference here is that the previous empires states didn't have the gargantuan efficient military power (six overkill) that todays imperial empires do. Never the less the oppressed peoples still need to dismantle the non-productive polluting militaries to get to liberation, that hasn't changed. Will the peoples be able to disassemble the six-overkill capacity in time, so the air, land, water, plants, animals, and peoples will be able to sustain life dwith new non-polluting technology?? That is the new question, as there is no doubt that tidal, wind, and solar power can sustain life and motivate the industrial revolution, but the old reactionary order is still not giving way to the new as is necessary. Viva socialist liberation. End pollution wars, not endless wars for more pollution.
Two main things learned for civil society and activists
Autonomous 17.Dec.2009 16:52
Two things learned:
1. Don't believe your governments will make the best of efforts to get anything fundamentally solved, if they can't do it for something that everybody calls a disaster waiting to happen; take this as illustration or like some demonstrators at the mass arrests chanted: "This is what democracy looks like, this is what democracy looks like", and that ain't good.
2. With representatives being held back, Naomi Klein teargassed at a place the council had permitted activists to occupy, mass arrests and random batton beatings you know it was more about destroying a possible new positive incentive to the popular anti-globalization movement. This was not about public order this was about warning all potential opponents of the power house which is the status quo: "You will not be able to unite in one front or generate massive movement and all newcomers and youngsters - hmm like the poor only released girl for away from home with no friends in the big Kopenhagen, give me a brake, go through the links on you tube - be afraid to demonstrate and stay at home; eat, work, breed, die!".
No Surrender,
No Retreat,
No Justice,
No Peace.
