Der Deutsche Bundestag möge beschließen ... das bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen einzuführen. Begründung-->Unser Finanz- und Steuersystem ist sehr unübersichtlich geworden. Auch die Arbeitslosenquote scheint eine feste Größe geworden sein. Um nun allen Bürgern ein würdevolles Leben zu gewährleisten, erscheint mir die Einführung eines bedingungslosen Grundeinkommens als guter Lösungsweg. Ca. 1500€ für jeden Erwachsenen und 1000€ für jedes Kind. Alle bestehenden Transferleistungen, Subventionen und Steuern einstellen und als einzige(!) Steuer eine hohe Konsumsteuer einführen. Eine deutliche Vereinfachung unseres komplizierten Finanzsystems erscheint mir zwingend erforderlich. Auch ginge mit dieser Veränderung ein deutlicher Bürokratieabbau, und damit eine Verwaltungskostenreduzierung, einher.

" Martin Wolf started off his Financial Times column today (February 11) with the bold question: “Has Barack Obama’s presidency already failed?”[1] The stock market had a similar opinion, plunging 382 points. Having promised “change,” Mr. Obama is giving us more Clinton-Bush via Robert Rubin’s protégé, Tim Geithner. Tuesday’s $2.5 trillion Financial Stabilization Plan to re-inflate the Bubble Economy is basically an extension of the Bush-Paulson giveaway – yet more Rubinomics for financial insiders in the emerging Wall Street trusts. The financial system is to be concentrated into a cartel of just a few giant conglomerates to act as the economy’s central planners and resource allocators. This makes banks the big winners in the game of “chicken” they’ve been playing with Washington, a shakedown holding the economy hostage. “Give us what we want or we’ll plunge the economy into financial crisis.” Washington has given them $9 trillion so far, with promises now of another $2 trillion– and still counting.
A true reform – one designed to undo the systemic market distortions that led to the real estate bubble – would have set out to reverse the Clinton-Rubin repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act so as to prevent the corrupting conflicts of interest that have resulted in vertical trusts such as Citibank and Bank of America/Countrywide/Merrill Lynch. By unleashing these conglomerate grupos (to use the term popularized under Pinochet with Chicago Boy direction – a dress rehearsal of the mass financial bankruptcies they caused in Chile by the end of the 1970s) The Clinton administration enabled banks to merge with junk mortgage companies, junk-money managers, fictitious property appraisal companies, and law-evasion firms all designed to package debts to investors who trusted them enough to let them rake off enough commissions and capital gains to make their managers the world’s highest-paid economic planners.
Today’s economic collapse is the direct result of their planning philosophy. It actually was taught as “wealth creation” and still is, as supposedly more productive than the public regulation and oversight so detested by Wall Street and its Chicago School aficionados."

La historia del antisemistismo ha sido mal contada. La persecución y asesinato de judiós por parte del nacifascismo fue posible por la complicidad de los cristianos católicos de casi toda Europa, qienes no sólo manifestaron regocijo por los decretos de Nuremberg, sino que los obispos de Alemania, Polonia, Rumania, Francia, Hungría, Holanda y hasta del propio Vaticano cooperaron en las deportaciones y expulsiones de judios hacia los campos de exterminio. Economists should redefine GDP and incorporate ground situation. They should make economy fly in the air when there is no possibility of sustaining its stay on the sky. By infusing a course correction they can perform a social reengineering which is need of the hour. Poor must get the attention and priority. Simply giving the number of poor people is not sufficient. Using the latest technological prowess economists should filter down the most needy people and those in the seat of power should help those identified poor people to improve their lives. There is no alternative to this model.

Increasing mental disorders

The Union health ministry is getting nervous over the alarming rate of mental patients in the country. A shocking number of 13 crore Indians suffering mental disorders have shaken the ministry from its slumber. It is going to circulate a cabinet note next week to handle the rising mental disorders. It has proposed to upgrade the existing eleven mental hospitals, increase of at least 44 post-graduate seats in psychiatry, 176 M.Phil seats in clinical psychology and 220 seats for psychiatric nursing each years. The ministry envisages that 616 qualified mental health professionals would be produced from these centres. One hopes for the better situation in the coming days.
