The present circumstances in Iraq are sufficient to reach the conclusion that America will never have imagined about the blow that it had received in Middle Asia during the last three decades. Whatever George Bush may say, as an arrogant ruler, before the media, but the dreams of George Bush, to take hold of Iraq, has turned into ashes.

Fear breeds fear just as love extends love. So the question becomes: which would we rather have? Fear masks as good judgment, reason, planning, and necessary defense, yet who has populated the world with nuclear weapons and fomented war in recent times more than the most abundant nation on Earth? What nation is leading the advance in turning the garden planet into a tortuous prison plantation of death, destruction and slave wages to serve the elites?....A paradigm shift is underway, and a bright, bold new post-material, post-scarcity era called The Age of Infinity is rapidly emerging....

Electronic judiciary in India (E-judiciary in India) is no more a science fiction though much has still to be done to make it a practical and operational reality. Electronic justice in India (E-justice in India) has already found its existence to some extent and that is reasonably enough for a good beginning. The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for judicial purposes has its own advantages. The major among them is the reduction of backlog of cases, decreased costs, increased efficiency, etc. At the same time ignorance of ICT will also come with its costs for the judiciary in India. The judicial system can collapse if it fails to adopt and transform itself as per the requirements of ICT in India. It would be a good idea to train the fresh judges at the entry level and provide e-learning and classroom training to the existing and otherwise competent judicial force in India.
The Bangalore Cyber crime lab will open in November and IT companies like Infosys, Motorola and others are involved in this initiative. The same may, however, not be very much effective in the absence of a sound cyber law in India. The proposed IT Act, 2000 amendments have further diluted the part dealing with cyber crimes in India. There is a drastic need of paying attention to cyber security in India, cyber forensics in India and computer security in India. The same is also important for e-governance in India and e-commerce in India.
The aim of this article is to consider the far reaching consequences of the proposed IT Act, 2000 amendments as suggested by the Expert Committee appointed by the Government in this regard. These amendments were severely criticised in India because of their inherent weaknesses and retrograde approach. If these proposed amendments have been approved by the cabinet without considering the critical evaluations or without the necessary modification, India will surely be a “safe heaven” for various cyber crime and contraventions. Equally at risk are e-governance in India and e-commerce in India. In the present scenario, cyber law in India is going to be a remedy worse than the malady. We may have a cyber law without teeth. Rather, it may actively encourage and support the criminal tendencies and cyber crimes in India. It is ironical that though India is emerging as the leading country in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) yet the law that is needed to make it a ground reality is itself removing the protection and safeguards necessary for the survival and continued existence of ICT in India.
The military invasion and occupation of Iraq is examined within the context of US imperialism. The dual nature of US politico-economic system is identified as an imperialism-democracy complex, with international imperialism and domestic capitalist democracy being its essential and interacting components. Some general laws of this imperialism-democracy complex are also proposed and it is shown how imperialism leads to the transformation of democracy into demonocracy, at its higher stages of development, like that of the US. The specific facts of the great conspiracy of the invasion, occupation, plunder, and robbery of the fabulous oil and other resources of Iraq, are placed and examined within that context. The most important need for understanding and analyzing various conflicts and invasions, constantly created by the US imperialism, throughout the world-the Iraqi invasion being the latest manifestation of these-in all their complexity and in the dialectical complexity of imperialism and democracy-is identified and explained. It is self-evident that such colossal and complex problems as US imperialism and its various manifestations need to be understood and analyzed in all their complexity, in as much depth as possible, for the formulation of effective strategies and tactics to counter and resist these. Fragmented, simplistic, and shallow pseudo-practical approaches to such immensely complex and gigantic problems have lead nowhere in the past. These are unlikely to lead anywhere in the present or future either.

Prior to Rice’s visit, President Roh went to Beijing for a summit on October 13 with Chinese President Hu Jintao. The two countries are North Korea’s largest trading partners. Both countries are concerned that the North Korean nuclear test could provoke a regional arms race, but at the same time are opposed to US actions to further heighten tensions in North East Asia.
