When one listens to Jared Taylor speak or read his magazine, American Renaissance, you realize that this man is a racist through and through.

It was very short notice, but we managed to pull together 30 people to protest this white supremacist scum. About a half hour before the scheduled event, we all met outside and quickly came to consensus to shut the meeting down. We arrived in the room about 5 minutes before he talk was to begin and began to shout him down with slogans like, "leave ,leave, the message is clear" and "anti-racist, antifear, whit supremacists out of here". As we formed a human chain, we surrounded Jared Taylor and forced him out of the room. At the same time some activist had started staking chairs when a worker at the hotel told them that the chairs were the property of the hotel to which Protesters said"oh, we are just staking these chairs because the event is over".
in conclusion, I don't think Jared Taylor will be coming back to Halifax anytime soon. This small victory should be an example of how activist can quickly mobilize to shut down a threat like this. We as activists need to use our victories as a catalyst to galvanize or determination and passion to create a better society.
