Is Kerry Pro-Choice?

NOW, NARAL, and other pro-choice advocates tell us that this election is important, because the future of women's reproductive rights hinges on our selection of Kerry for President of the United States. We hear that the shape of the Supreme Court for years to come will be determined this November, and that the survival of Roe v. Wade depends on John Kerry making the judicial appointments for the next four years. For John F. Kerry (as he now prefers to be called) and John Edwards are the pro-choice "dream team". But is any of this really true? If these are the primary arguments in favor of electing the Democrats, then we should examine the factual record to determine if these things are, indeed, valid arguments at all. And as anyone familiar with the factual record knows, the claims simply don't hold water.
