Some thirteen or fourteen months ago, many residents of Fayetteville and much of N.W. Arkansas found themselves engulfed in a veil of thick smoke; courtesy of the U.S. Congress, the Bush Administration, and the U.S. Forest Service. The smoke, a result of the newly-enacted Healthy Forests Restoration Act which passed Congress with much pressure from the Bush Administration, caused numerous respiratory and other health-related problems for many in the area.
