This summer, the national right wing propaganda rag once called "[Conrad] Black's money-losing monument to his massive ego" by his own striking employees saw it fit to discontinue distribution to Thunder Bay.
Formerly the crown jewel of the extradited media baron, the National Post is now owned by CanWest Global under the legacy of Izzy Asper. The company is best known as our daily cheerleaders of the increasingly fundamentalist Conservative Party and corporate globalization.
Since the paper's launch, the National Post has experienced continual difficulty turning a profit and the discontinuation of service to our region is a telling sign of the declining influence of the far right press in Canada.
