FREE Workshops, Panel Discussions, Entertainment, and Food

This year�s �Joining Voices, Bridging Borders� Local to Global Justice Teach-In, held at ASU�s Tempe campus, promises to be the best one yet! There will be over 50 workshops, on Saturday the 18th, by over 30 different local and national groups/organizations. This year�s speakers include Pat Humphries & Sandy Opatow, Judith Nies, and Joel Olson. There will also be an Immigration Panel featuring Ray Ybarra, Salvador Reza, Daniel Ortega, and Isabel Garcia. Friday�s concert lineup starts with the Juggling and Magic Show at 4 p.m. Emma�s Revolution, the feature band, will amp up at 5 p.m. and will soon be followed by Blackfire, and Grime. Chris Jácome and Voice will round out the entertainment on Saturday.

Organizations putting on workshops include the Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter, Lovolution Village, Anchor the Dream, Arizona EarthFirst!, Crosswalk America, Community Outreach and Advocacy for Refugees, Black Mesa Water Coalition, Muslim American Society Freedom Arizona, Friends of the Catalyst, No More Deaths, 911 Truth of AZ, IRC, Arizona Counter Recruitment Coalition, P.M.S. Media, Ray Ybarra (showing his film Rights on the Line: Vigilantes at the Border), Light of the Vibe Eternal (L.O.V.E.), The Save the Peaks Coalition, Judith Nies, Phoenix Copwatch, Long Island Animal Defense League, Black Mesa Indigenous Support, New Paradigm Project, WILPF, Pan Left, ASU Intergroup Relations Center, Phoenix Anarchist Coalition, Mountain Justice, Joel Olsen, The Iranian American Cultural Association, Breathe Peace International, ASU Women Beyond Borders, and Arizona Indymedia.
