On the first day of the New Year, Grandmothers Against The War and supporters lined the sidewalk along 5th Ave in NYC.

The group held a silent vigil to read the names of the 3000 US soldiers killed in Iraq and call from an end to the war. The procession then marched from Rockefeller Center to the recruiting station in Times Square to read the names again.
