Another salmon disaster in the making!

Major Klamath River tributaries - the Scott and Shasta Rivers - are being progressively dewatered as irrigation wells multiply and irrigation pumping increases. This year Coho and Chinook Salmon will most likely not be able to reach spawning grounds in the Scott and Shasta River Basins because low flows have created barriers to salmon migration. Federal and state agencies responsible for fish and wildlife refuse to act and actually provide cover for the continued dewatering. Environmental groups, tribes and fishing organizations have done nothing to stop and reverse the dewatering. Will the self-styled "defenders" of Klamath Salmon stand by while the Scott and Shasta Rivers continue to die?
