Pelosi and the Democrats Sell Out the American Worker (Again)

Kurt Nimmo, 10.11.2007 22:50

"Subsistence farmers will be forced off their land because cheap U.S. food produced by agribusiness will undercut their prices. The same thing happened with NAFTA, which resulted in millions of poor Mexicans leaving their farms.
According to some interpretations, Citibank will have the right to sue the Peruvian government if the country tries to reverse its disastrous system of privatized Social Security — thus allowing a powerful multinational to profit at the expense of the elderly, the sick and the poor."

The Socialist Party USA (SP-USA) stands with the WGA and calls upon the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) to concede to the WGA’s demands for a just contract.

New book damns America's Middle East policies

D. Grant Haynes, 09.11.2007 08:23

As a long-time blogger and caustic critic of George W. Bush's war on the oil-rich Middle East, I have collected the best of my essays into a published work.

My first book,The Neocon Aberration, is now available. Though concerned primarily with U.S. policies and politics, I believe the work might be of interest beyond North American shores because of America's pervasive influence everywhere--especially in the Middle East. My book, The Neocon Aberration, represents a compilation of 10 years of essays, editorials and blog statements, many of which have appeared on IMC servers or elsewhere in the alternative media. Chapters include a lengthy one in which I decry George W. Bush's illegitimate presidency and the madness inherent in his neocon agenda—an agenda which has seen the moral authority of the United States and her allies seriously eroded. Other issues discussed in the 11-chapter work include environmental concerns, gun control(or lack thereof) in America, immigration questions, capital punishment considerations, and animal rights.

School kids and police injured each other in German anti-nuclear protest

Diet Simon, drawing on German IndyMedia postings, 08.11.2007 23:56

They clashed in Lüchow, capital of the county where a highly controversial nuclear waste dump is located in the village of Gorleben, roughly equidistant between Hamburg (125 km) and Hanover (150 km). About 500 youngsters started an authorised march peacefully which police say escalated outside their barracks in the town. A police media release says the demonstrators broke open the closed gate to the compound and then threw eggs, fireworks and other objects at the empty building.

Ron Paul: The left needs to wake up and figure out how to make the most of him

Paul Joseph Watson with subtext from jamie, 08.11.2007 16:31

"What's really happening here is that, whether wittingly or unwittingly, the establishment minions are terrified that their perch on the peanut gallery can be so forcefully undermined by a grass roots rebellion against the stranglehold of the elite - who carefully screen presidential candidates year after year - ensuring only establishment lackeys ever have a chance of winning.

In addition, if Ron Paul is so "meaningless" then why is Drum, along with an army of other establishment media stooges and Neo-Con cult members, wasting his time in attacking the Congressman?"
