Philippines Research Center, 30.06.2010 19:22

Despite the installment of the new president Benigno Aquino III to succeed the corrupt Arroyou, 43 health-care workers continue to suffer military torture and degrading treatment, among them two pregnant women Carina Oliveros and Mercy Castro. Fire are confined to the military camp's dungeon while 38 were transferred to Camp Bagong Diwa, notorious for the massacre of Moro suspects. Millions of US taxdollars continue to fund a corrupt and brutal military/police Establishment to torture and massacre crivilians. We appeal to all with a conscience or empathy to denojunce and condemn the extrajudicial killings and crimes against humanity committed by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and her accomplices.

Philippine President Aquino's inauguration

Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM), 30.06.2010 14:44

THERE IS A REASON to celebrate the inauguration of President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino -- we have finally dumped the most corrupt and most hated regime since the fall of the Marcos dictatorship in 1986. GMA didn't deserve the President's farewell granted her. She should have been ousted years ago. Nevertheless, Aquino’s victory rightfully belongs to the Filipino people who voted against Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her minions.

G20 Capitalism Attacked in the Streets of Toronto

Jaggi Singh & Robym Maynard, 30.06.2010 14:27

TORONTO, June 26, 2010 -- An over 1000-person strong contingent, representing diverse movements of community-based struggles in Toronto, Ontario and across Canada converged in a bloc entitled “Get Off the Fence”.

Today’s radical contingent separated from the “People First” Labour March (which would march in a circle from Queen’s Park, a police-designated and permitted “protest zone”). Led by the Chaotic Insurrection Ensemble street band of Montreal, the contingent took the streets, and occupied a large bloc within the labour march. Several times along Queen Street, protesters attempted to break through police lines, only to be met with riot police who hit and bloodied protesters with their batons and shields.

Did 9/11 Justify the War in Afghanistan?

David Ray Griffin, 30.06.2010 05:58

"This evidence consisted of testimony that had reportedly been elicited by the CIA from al-Qaeda operatives. The most important of these operatives was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed – generally known simply as “KSM” – who has been called the “mastermind” of the 9/11 attacks. If you read the 9/11 Commission’s account of how bin Laden planned the attacks, and then check the notes, you will find that almost every note says that the information came from KSM.26

In 2006, Kean and Hamilton wrote a book giving “the inside story of the 9/11 Commission,” in which they called this information untrustworthy. They had no success, they reported, in “obtaining access to star witnesses in custody . . . , most notably Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.”27 Besides not being allowed by the CIA to interview KSM, they were not permitted to observe his interrogation through one-way glass. They were not even allowed to talk to the interrogators.28 Therefore, Kean and Hamilton complained:

“We . . . had no way of evaluating the credibility of detainee information. How could we tell if someone such as Khalid Sheikh Mohammed . . . was telling us the truth?”29

They could not.

Accordingly, neither the Bush administration, the British government, the FBI, nor the 9/11 Commission ever provided good evidence of bin Laden’s responsibility for the attacks."

BRD: Zensur – die Schere im Kopf

Joachim Spengler, 27.06.2010 11:03
